The municipality of Kateřinice is located in Hostýnské vrchy, 9 km northwest of Vsetín. The project deals with the revitalization of a former agricultural cooperative in the centre that will function as a new social centre after being completed. The proposed complex contains a local administration office with a library, a maternity centre and a tourist information centre, a restaurant with accommodation, wellness, retail space, a daycare home, and apartment house with starting flats. The form of the objects is mostly based on an archetype of the traditional rural building; only the retirement home with its volume and flat roof is an exception. The houses are unified by wood facing and completed with a wide range of public space. The complex can be realized in a long-term time frame depending on the current needs and financial capability of the municipality.
